Unacceptable Marketing Tactics - Protea Hotel Group
During October 2010 I published an excellent service experience received from the Protea Hotel Victoria Junction in Green Point Cape Town on this website. But today, after being phoned a second time by a Protea Hotel Group direct marketing representative, I am more than annoyed with their marketing tactics.
In my view this Protea Hotel direct contact was unprofessional and interruptive – and trying to explain this to the Protea Hotel Group's direct marketing consultant who contacted me today the phone was abruptly put down in trying communicating exactly this.
I find this level of personal communication and in particular listening attitude from a well known brand's marketing consultant unacceptable and quite annoying to say the least..
I am quite disappointed in this level of interruption received from a brand which I regard as one of the finest I had the privilege to engage with over the last couple of years.
It is sad that Protea Hotel Group should deploy this interruption tactic to lure customers to their fine hotels. Surely, there are more efficient and professional ways to communicate with current and future customers?
