Poor customer service from Vodacom

What you do not expect from Vodacom Customer Care...

Unprofessional Telephone Etiquette  - Vodacom Customer Care

I just received a phone call from Vodacom's customer care department with the representative initiating dialog with only this - "How are you?" - no introduction, no reason or any informative hint that this is indeed Vodacom requiring service information to update my account. And on response on why this unprofessional, pathetic introduction - "It is the polite thing to do" Professional telephone etiquette. I don't think so...

I find the current levels of service displayed by some South African brands such as Vodacom below standard and appalling to say the least. Who in their right minds will train any client services staff to start a professional business dialogue like this?

I am personally deeply concerned with the sub-standard of service offered by companies such as Vodacom. One again I keep the management accountable for such poor and tacky service levels.
