I have always been an avid and frequent customer to the Milnerton KWIKSPAR situated in the Milnerton Mall. And how refreshing it is to always be serviced with friendly owners and staff alike. I cannot recall one incident at any time that I experienced any below average service delivery whatsoever. I commend the owners for managing such a super retail experience.

Recent example
Visiting the store on Friday afternoon (23 April 2010) I collected a handful of items and approaching the point of sale areas observing four of a possible five cashiers in operation. As the only customer queuing I was quite prepared to wait my turn. But no – from somewhere a lady with a big smile appeared and in no time was I serviced. And at the same time one of the owners also appeared and I thanked both of them for this experience. I cannot believe that they can get it right probably 95% of the time compared to the dismal appalling service levels of many national brands in the area.

KWIKSPAR versus other established national brands
The difference between the KWIKSPAR and the customary appalling customer experiences I have written about on this website is actually very simple – a lesson for all the care-less brands that I will continue to expose until / or if they ever care / manage to sort their sub-standard customer service [culture] levels out:

Why does the Milnerton KWIKSPAR succeed?

• The staff is always friendly and efficient
• The store is in immaculate retail condition (and well stocked)
• An owner / manager / supervisor is always on the floor
• Customer Relationship Management is embedded within the owners management style

Owner vigilance
I am indeed prepared to pay a premium to experience this vigilant and mindful customer service experience. KWIKSPAR in my opinion is one of the best customer experiences I have ever experienced in the Cape Peninsula the last couple of years.

I cannot remember how many times I have referred to the Milnerton KWIKSPAR Spar experience in my service delivery presentations - no matter what management course or subject. And I will continue to do so and to frequent this superbly managed retail store.
