Bloglines closing down - FeedDemon a nifty RSS Newsreader replacement
For the last few years I used Bloglines to read all my online Internet Marketing / SEO / Social Media / Technology news. Unfortunately Ask (owners / developers) is closing this RSS reader platform down on 15 November 2010.
I am subscribed to more than 20 global blog and website RSS feeds and dreaded the looming deadline for searching for an alternative RSS Newsreader. This morning I started my search for a new reader and very quickly found a more than capable replacement in FeedDemon (download it free from NewsGator ).
Downloading and installing FeedDemon (Windows desktop application)
FeedDeomon is a RSS Newsfeeder that will be installed on your PC / Notebook and the download / installation took less than 5 minutes. It will also ask you to iimport current RSS subscriptions from various other platforms (as optional).
After downloading / installing I imported all my RSS feeds - both from Bloglines and Google Reader. You will also be able to syncrovuze your subscriptions on various computers.
I am grateful for FeedDemon and can now once again read my favourate blogs without spending ages in going to the individual blogs.
I am still testing, but really recommend you give it a go.
